When the next major content patch launches we will be introducing epic quality gems and updating the perks for each profession. Please keep in mind that any of this information may see further changes before the patch launches.

The design recipes for cutting epic gems will be made available for purchase with Dalaran Jewelcrafter’s Tokens and there are several ways to obtain raw epic gems:

Prospecting Titanium Ore
Alchemy transmutations
Purchased with Honor
Purchased with Emblems of Heroism

Coinciding with the implementation of epic gems and the gain that Blacksmiths will receive through their perk from these new gems, we have gone through all of the perks in every profession and increased their values to match up accordingly.

Alchemy
The Mixology benefits from Northrend elixirs and flasks have been increased
Added a new pattern for Flask of the North, usable by players with a high alchemy skill. The recipe is purchased from the honor potion vendor. The Flask of the North increases your spell power...

Restart: GEM testing - feedback wanted!

For those of you who don't already know, we are testing out Guild Event Manage for use as an SGA calendar. GC is changing in a way that will not work for multiple guild scheduling, and many people have also expressed distaste for the lag the program causes.

Auriaya Strat Discussion

Our second attempt last night was much better than the first. From a healer perspective, I mixed up one assignment, which probably resulted in Valindorf's instant death. I also don't think we were quite expecting the damage input that the tanks were taking.

I think that the healers basically have to have casts in progress as the pull happens. Until one of the cats are down, the tanks are going to be taking a lot of damage. I also completely forgot Tremor Totem, altho I think a couple of the tanks had Fear Ward on. The tanks may also have to learn stance dancing (ah that brings back memories of Ony and Nefarion as a Horde raider), altho once the adds are down, fear ward up on the MT should be just fine.

As for dps, I think that we probably need to pop Heroism/cooldowns right off the bat, and try burn down at least 2, if not 3 of the Sentries before the first fear. Those guys are NASTY and the sooner they die the better.

Warning: Books spawning aren't always the one you want.

Tips:

Once a book is clicked by any player, it will remain up for exactly 3 minutes.
Write down the time you found a book!
Didn't get the one you needed? A new book will spawn between 3 and 4 hours after it's been "read".

So Vista doesn't play nice with my analog headset. I need to buy a new USB one... looking for a decent quality one that's not going to kill my spending money for the month. Anyone absolutely love or hate theirs? My current pair is binaural and I've been debating switching to an on-ear model or mono type. Thoughts?

Our Loot rules Kind of go back to The old Ticket system with a Twist. These are them!

1) MAIN Spec Roll: Please ROLL if upgrade based on your spec at start of raid. All rolls default to next highest roller who has NOT won a Main spec item (You may win more than one). If NO main spec rolls, item goes to OFF Spec Roll
2) OFF Spec Roll: Please ROLL if upgrade for your off spec(s). All rolls default to next highest roller who has NOT won an Off spec item
3) Above rolls also apply to BOE's. If no rolls, item is sharded unless it is BOE. Shards and non-rolled BOE's to be rolled on at END of raid to those who have NOT won an item.
4) Main Spec roll is 1-100 Offspec rolls are 101-200 (It's easier if you have a Macro Set up for Offspec Rolls so things Do move along quicker)
5) you have 20 seconds from the first person who rolls to roll. Please Pay attention to what is being rolled for and roll fast!

What are you doing July 4th, 2009? Well, if you're American, you're probably celebrating your independence. But, if you're Canadian, and you live relatively near to Edmonton, Alberta, you might want to consider coming to a Barbecue for TF + SGA members!

The Barbecue would be held at a Park in Edmonton's River Valley. It is open to any of the SGA members who would like to attend, and Shaiden, whether or not he would like to attend.

If you are an SGA member who just wants to meet some of your online, buddies, or someone who has raided with TF players since ZG and MC, or if you are Shaiden, please send me a PM if you want more information.

We will have a number of out-of-town players, such as Guilo, Rhys, Kahless, and (possibly) Artaioz in attendence.

We may possibly (although this lacks final confirmation, as they are getting married really soon) have Deedlyt + Laecesudhan attending as well.

On Finding Terenas

So, apparently there is an issue where sometimes Terenas does not show up in the server lists, even tho the server is up. A number of us were afflicted with this last night.

According to posts on the realm forums, executing an "ipconfig /flushdns" command in a command prompt fixes this issue. If you can't find Terenas, try this.

I'm on the fence. For sure will try it if there is a free trial. Not sure I wanna buy a Star Wars game though *shudder* (even though I did kinda like KotOR. . . don't tell anyone)
